WIB is an org built on the grounds to empower, educate, and elevate women in the workforce. The opportunities and students you meet here are driven, empowered, and confident people who you would want to keep in your network after graduation as lifelong friends. You work together to build each other up. It's more than a student org, it's about personal and professional development and growing up together. It's a giving environment because of the giving individuals. When your success is also my success and vice versa, that's how you know this is the place to be. The girls I've met at WIB are my biggest supporters of my startup. I still keep in contact with some of the girls. There's no other place on campus where you can meet such hardworking, sassy, and down-to-earth girl friends.
Mighty Buns Athletics, Founder
"I chose to join Women in Business at San José State University because I felt that the purpose of the organization aligned with my passion for women advancement in professional roles. As a Latina woman, there have been many times where I felt like I was the only person of color or the only women in a meeting or a leadership role. Women in business felt like a place where I could meet with other women from diverse backgrounds who were also having similar experiences and together we could empower one another to address the issues we face in our evolving careers. I truly feel like Women in Business is a place where "empowered women, empower women."

"As one of the co-founders of WIB, I felt that it was important to surround myself with like-minded, ambitious women who were interested in the field of business in order to enhance my knowledge and generate visibility for myself in this male-dominated field. I believe that with diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplaces our world will become a better place and that begins women in leadership. Every time I interacted with WIB officers and members, they left me feeling a greater sense of camaraderie, purpose, motivation, and happiness which is why WIB is so important to the SJSU community and beyond."
